San Diego AeroSpace Museum

Oral History Project

The purpose of the Oral History Project of the San Diego Air & Space Museum is to record, in their own voices, those who have made an impact on aviation history. At present, the Oral History Project is developing a list of interview candidates and is conducting interviews as time permits. The project relies on volunteers to collect and preserve stories of men and women who contributed in all areas of aviation, such as: pilots, engineers, factory workers, military service members, astronauts, and their family members. The main objective of the project is to focus on the geographical area of San Diego, California. SDAM uses accepted oral history techniques to collect and preserve interviews. The original taped interviews and transcripts are kept in the museum’s archives. Please click here to download a excel file of the history done so far .
