Birthday Parties

Docent Tours

To enhance your experience, trained Docents (tour guides) are available. We can arrange a sufficient number of docents to be on hand for your event (a two-docent minimum); a museum tour can be tailored to suit your group's needs. There is no additional charge for this service.

Catering

The caterer you select will guarantee the success of your event. A good caterer will do everything for you, from the initial party planning through the last-minute details. Click here for a list of preferred caterers who have experience working in our facility. These caterers are familiar with the museum's layout, rules and regulations. If you choose a caterer that is not on this list, there will be a 10% charge to the caterer on the food portion only and we require that a representative from the catering company meet with us before the final approval of the event is given.

There are no kitchen facilities on the premises. All food must be prepared in advance and brought ready-to-serve. Caterers may park their mobile kitchens in the rear of the museum while preparing for your event. Protective floor covering must be supplied by your caterer at all food stations. The security of the collection is our first and foremost concern therefore No cooking is allowed in the museum property.

F-22 Raptor Interactive Ride

You will have the ability to be the pilot or copilot in the cockpit of an F-22 Raptor. You are in total control of the ride, with the ability to bank, dive, climb, do a full 360 degree barrel roll, and fire your weapons.

Piper Cub Simulator

The San Diego Air & Space Museum’s Piper Cub Simulator allows visitors to experience what it feels like to fly aboard the Piper Cub. With the help of Microsoft’s Flight Simulator 2004®, visitors can take the controls as they try to navigate around in the Piper Cub. As the scenery rushes past, the “pilot” will experience the challenge of keeping the airplane straight and level.
